Great in many ways, lacking in others

Pros:Central location for getting to N & S areas of islandShort walk to beach (but no swimming/snorkeling at this beach!)Adequately furnishedKitchen well-equippedEasy parking & hwy accessClean linens and plenty of clean bath and beach towelsCons:No A/C! Windows open, fans on high - still very sweaty nights!Since windows HAD to be open at night, roosters would wake us at 4 AM - despite fans, noise machines, and earplugs :-/More beach gear would be great. We bought and left a boogie board, hopefully it is still there for future guests...Fairly cramped for family of 5 - like many condos, fish-eye lenses make unit look much biggerNot dirty, but lots of dust on light fixtures. Needed a deep clean!Shower fan was nearly inoperable, didn't vent steam when showeringOverall: Mostly got what we expected, but the fitful nights made us long for our own beds. Wouldn't stay here again in summer due to lack of A/C. Pretty good for a family traveling on a budget, and we were out exploring the island the majority of the time anyhow.


A week in Paradise

This property is conveniently located right near a small shopping center as well as the beach. We walked to the beach every evening and we pretty much had it all to ourselves. The room is newly remodeled and they did a great job with that. They had small beach chairs, umbrella and cooler that made our days at the beach a bit more comfortable. The manager sent many emails with information about the island and advice on things to do. It is a great little condo. We rented snorkeling gear and a boogie board at the beginning of the week an hit the beaches. Our favorite snorkel spot was Beach House Beach. We also did a Zodiac Tour with Blue Horizon. It was the highlight of our stay! We saw the west side of the island at high speed, went into the caves, snorkeled, swam, saw dolphins and rays. That was a great day. We ate meals at home in the evenings because my husband is celiac so it is hard to eat out. The room had great quality cooking supplies.

We loved staying here. it was nice and clean and well set up for a family with 3 older children. my husband and I loved the beautiful seaside walk into town.It is a little small for eating in as there is no table. we found it a nice cool temperature and quieter than nearby condos as it is further from the main road.

We really did not have any complaints, we had a great stay at the apartment. The only thing that was kind of a bummer, that beach access was a bit hard, which looked different on the map.

We enjoyed the location of this property, it was all we needed! Was great to have beach chairs, umbrella and cooler available for us to use. Full kitchen with everything we needed. Only thing we would of liked was a BBQ.

The location is the strong suit, it’s one block from the ocean, close to Kapa’a and a good starting point for any trip around the island. The property is in good condition and was well equipped for our stay.


Pleasant Little Condo

We found the condo to be as pictured and described, and it couldn’t have been easier to check in and out! We loved that it’s less than a 5 minute walk to the water, several restaurants, and even grocery stores! You can just peek the ocean from the front, and it’s a tad awkward to actually get to the water, but we didn’t mind in the slightest. The beds were comfy, the WiFi and Smart TV came in handy on the one night it rained, and we loved having the full kitchen. I’d definitely stay here again!

The place was clean, however we didn't realize how hot and humid it is on the Island so would have preferred a place with air conditioning. For the price it was good. The location was convenient to shopping but beach access was not that easy.

We LOVE the Foodland directly across the street for ALL your shopping needs.We could even see the beach through the coconut trees!Only negative- No air conditioning BUT there WAS 3 high powered small fans & ceiling fans in every room

This condo was perfect for our family. It had an excellent layout to use the space efficiently. We are a family of 5 (3 young children) and we were quite comfortable here. Kitchen had everything we needed to have breakfasts and some suppers in, cooler was in the unit so we packed lunch for the beach most days. TV in living room and both bedrooms for downtime, 2 bathrooms was great. I was a little hesitant to have a coin-op shared laundry, but it was clean, lots of machines, just be sure to save all of your quarters during your stay! Peekabo view of the ocean, great parking. You can walk to the beach easily, but there are much nicer beaches a short drive away. Also, you can walk to many restaurants/shopping/coffee/groceries easily, with two grocery stores very near, at least one of which is open 24 hrs. We didn't spend lots of time in Kapaa, but it is a great central location to all the places we frequent. Lydgate is a great beach (and playground) for the little ones too, and it is very close to the condo, so that was appreciated. This complex is a mix of residents and vacation rentals, my kids found neighbour kids to play with and spent time riding bikes and playing in the grass, it was fabulous. It is a top floor unit, which gave a nice breeze at night. The downstairs neighbours once complained about our kids stomping/jumping/etc, so we were constantly reminding them to stop that, which is hard when they are used to skipping/hopping everywhere they go haha. Besides that, everything was awesome. Furniture in the main room has been updated since this photo.

Overall - Excellent! Some of the furnishings were slightly different from the pictures, e.g. 2nd bedroom showed 2 twins pushed together as a king, and couch and some drapes were different. But overall, we couldn't be more pleased. Very clean, very nicely upgraded from other units. 1/2 bath off master plus full hall bath were perfect for us and our daughter. Centrally located for touring the entire island. AC would have been nice, but we knew that beforehand. Ceiling fans and room fans helped. We would definitely stay here again. Quiet complex - downstairs neighbors (long-term leasers) were really nice - made us feel welcome. Booking was easy - Sue and Kanani were friendly and professional.

Village Manor D22 is a small and quite apartment complex. D22 was very clean and newly remodeled. The couch and chairs are really in need of an upgrade because they are very worn and uncomfortable. The pictures make the rooms look larger than they really are. Kind of deceiving. The white and blue bedding and flower curtains shown are NOT in this unit. The second bdrm has twin beds which are not shown in pictures that I saw and are very hard and uncomfortable. There is NO A/C available. The weather was nice and breezy for most of our stay but the last 2 days were very humid and the 2 small fans that were provided didn't help very much. I feel that they should at least put in a window A/C and provide a good osculating fan for each room for the days that are very humid. Other than that the stay was in a good location and close to stores, a couple of shopping centers and a really nice small water way area to wade in near by. If you're looking for a simple place to sleep without the bells and whistles, this could be the place.

This place was simply perfect. We arrived to find the unit clean and just as pictured. The kitchen has everything you need and was ready for us to cook a meal. We found beach chairs and beach towels in the closet and masks snorkels under the kitchen sink. There is beach access minutes (like 3)away and it was never crowded. Foodland is a short walk, about a block, away and they are reasonably priced if you get a shoppers card. The laundry room was a short walk from the unit and was clean and functional. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. You are a short drive to Kapaa and it is centrally located to everything on the island. It would be nice if there was an area with a grill, that was the one thing we missed was grilling a Kauai beef steak. We have been coming to Kauai for many years but this is our first stay at this location. We WILL be back to Village Manor D22

THE PROS:Good location with access to a lot of shopping and a good location to start when accessing other parts of the island.CleanLots of added amenities like beach chairs, umbrella, snorkels, and cooler.Keypad lock, no need to carry a key!Good speed internet!THE CONS:No A/C and the ceiling fans weren't the strongest so the place is warm.Despite the numerous ant traps we did experience a lot of ants. We ended up killing a lot of them with 409 cleaner we found under the sink.Roosters woke me up early every morning (not much the owners can do about that).

My family had a excellent stay in the accommodation..It was easy to get into the property without any hassle.. Everything was clean & nice..My son has lot food allergies.. The kitchen was well equipped & clean... We could easily cook - thanks for providing even electric rice cooker & blender.. (though we did not use them).. Proximity to all locations was good.. We were centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit...There was one thing we were disappointed - the speed of the fans especially in the bed rooms was too less.. It will be great if u can fix that - since it is a non-Ac unit..I would really recommend this place to all our friends & family...

the place was great besides the ridiculously large cockroaches that were in the shower. Scared the living daylights out of me. But other than that the stay was nice. The location is perfect, with shops, grocery stores and cafes within walking distance. I would highly recommend this place. The only downfall was the loud neighbors downstairs and their messy apartment. But they would quiet down by around 9 so it worked out well after we adjusted to the time change.

Place was nice, needed more kitchen towels and a better broom. Pictures on vrbo were deceiving to the actual size of the unit. Wishing there was a BBQ or grill of some sort available. Light by the door was not left on for our arrival. Description of beach side was deceiving as it was quite a walk to the beach and couldn't see it from the condo.

Wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to stay in Kapaa. The place was beautifully maintained and had everything that you would need to go to the beach. Being able to walk to the beach and watch the sun rise and the moon rise was really beautiful. Will definitely be staying here again.

We walked to the beach every evening and we pretty much had it all to ourselves. The room is newly remodeled and they did a great job with that. They had small beach chairs, umbrella and cooler that made our days at the beach a bit more comfortable. The manager sent many emails with information about the island and advice on things to do. It is a great little condo. We rented snorkeling gear and a boogie board at the beginning of the week an hit the beaches. Our favorite snorkel spot was Beach House Beach. We also did a Zodiac Tour with Blue Horizon. It was the highlight of our stay! We saw the west side of the island at high speed, went into the caves, snorkeled, swam, saw dolphins and rays. It had an excellent layout to use the space efficiently. We are a family of 5 (3 young children) and we were quite comfortable here. Kitchen had everything we needed to have breakfasts and some suppers in, cooler was in the unit so we packed lunch for the beach most days. TV in living room and both bedrooms for downtime, 2 bathrooms was great. I was a little hesitant to have a coin-op shared laundry, but it was clean, lots of machines, just be sure to save all of your quarters during your stay! Peekabo view of the ocean, great parking. You can walk to the beach easily, but there are much nicer beaches a short drive away. Also, you can walk to many restaurants/shopping/coffee/groceries easily, with two grocery stores very near, at least one of which is open 24 hrs. We didn't spend lots of time in Kapaa, but it is a great central location to all the places we frequent. Lydgate is a great beach (and playground) for the little ones too, and it is very close to the condo, so that was appreciated. This complex is a mix of residents and vacation rentals, my kids found neighbour kids to play with and spent time riding bikes and playing in the grass, it was fabulous. It is a top floor unit, which gave a nice breeze at night. The downstairs neighbours once complained about our kids stomping/jumping/etc, so we were constantly reminding them to stop that, which is hard when they are used to skipping/hopping everywhere they go haha.
